IT ALL STARTED ON A DINETTE TABLE.
I was the lone employee of a one-client agency, with the plan to create work that told my client’s stories in ways they could believe in, their customers would trust and I was proud of.
I couldn’t have picked a better time. February 1990. The start of a recession. Gloom and doom on Wall Street. Clients were cutting budgets on everything they could justify and on some things they couldn’t.
But companies were still looking for new thoughts and new opportunities to grow their brands and stand out in competitive markets. Some went in-house. Others demanded more from their agencies. And some companies turned to shops like mine: shops with a strong will for smart strategies and even smarter creative execution.
And here we are today in Cleveland and Virginia Beach, a broader talent pool, but still believing in our methods.
